Comments: Jon responded to the posting immediately and quickly turned around a quote so I could make a decision quickly. I went with New Horizon because they are a local business, were professional, and clearly understood what my deck staining project required. The crew did a great job power washing the deck and applying the stain. They were very professional, completed the job as quickly as the weather allowed, kept the job site clean, and didn't leave any trace when they were done. I definitely will call them again for similar projects.

Comments: I hired Jon and his crew to build a deck on the back of my house with a screen porch underneath. He built it so sturdily that the inspector asked whether we were going to put a hot tub on it. From the beginning to the end, Jon was communicative and honest in his assessment of time and materials costs. I particularly appreciated that he involved me at every decision point, down to whether I cared whether the exposed heads of some screws matched others (I didn't). This review is nearly a year late, but it's given me the chance to see how his construction holds up through a cold winter and a hot summer, with a lot of use of both levels of the deck. It's exceptional work. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire him for any serious construction project.

He has done painting and remodeling work for us and we would certainly use him again. One thing that stands out compared to other contractors we have contacted is that he is responsive to phone calls and email and he is honest when working out the costs.

Comments: Jon and his son did a great job painting the interior walls of our house and the ceiling in one room. They were very nice to work with, very helpful, and did good quality work for a reasonable price. We hired them again to fix the drywall in our basement and will definitely hire them again for any future projects where they would be needed.

Comments: Our walls and ceiling were horrible after not being painted for about 10 years. We had a lot of smoke from a fireplace and all of our ceilings and walls needed both primed and painted. Expert Painting aka New Horizon Contracting did a fabulous job. Jon, the owner was incredibly responsive and kept in touch through the term of the job. The painters cleaned up after themselves every day and were very careful to pay attention to the detail. The entire experience from the owner, to the painters and the drywall person was very professional and everyone of them were considerate that they were in "your" home. It was a great experience and we would not hesitate to use this company again.

Comments: I was very pleased with Expert Painting/New Horizon Contracting. Jon did a good job of communicating and his workers were friendly and skilled. When it took an additional coat of paint to cover some of walls, it was done at no additional charge. When a plumbing issue arose while installing a new vanity, they took care of the plumbing issue as well as painted the ceiling below stained from the water at no additional cost to me. I would hire them again.

Comments: The two people who came out to do the staining did an excellent job. They showed up as expected, their work is thorough and very neat. They clean up before leaving. The guy who replaced some of the cedar siding did a great job, but left a pile of sawdust in our driveway . The owner of the company stays in touch, and responds to email promptly. He is very good to work with.

Comments: I already had one estimate, but that contractor would not do most things. I needed exterior stain, but also some wood repair. I figured I would also get my screened porch rescreened. The other contractor just wanted to do staining, but expert painting was willing to do all of it. Jon was also quick with estimates and got everything done well and on time. Everything about the experience was great.
